When you buy hydroponics nutrients, are you aware that almost all hydroponics nutrients manufacturers are selling you old school formulas and ingredients not designed for marijuana plants?
When I first discovered that fact, I realized I had been paying a lot of money for fertilizers that weren’t giving me my heaviest, strongest buds. Fact is, marijuana is a unique plant that does best when you feed it hydroponics nutrients specifically designed for marijuana. You get way higher weight and THC potency when you use marijuana-specific nutrients.
At the time, I was using General Hydroponics- one of the best-selling hydroponics brands. But it came to me suddenly what the company’s name tells you is that GH nutrients are not designed or tested for marijuana: they are general? hydroponics nutrients, designed to work on lettuce, beans, and houseplants.
When I looked into it further, I discovered General Hydroponics does not use marijuana plants in any of its testing. They refuse to test their products on the marijuana plants we all grow. What’s more, General Hydroponics and their hydroponics industry allies at Maximum Yield and Sunlight Supply get downright angry when you ask them about the connection between hydroponics and marijuana.
Look at the General Hydroponics website or talk to their reps at an indoor gardening expo…they make it clear that they’re not dedicated to helping you grow bigger and better marijuana.
Their website proclaims: “We are developing new hydroponic systems and perfecting nutrient formulas to enhance flavor and yield plus vitamin and mineral content in food crops for higher nutritional value. Our farm division is testing many varieties of vegetables…”

Recently installed kitchen hydroponic windowfarm. Uses water pump to circulate the water from a 2 gallon reservoir through 10 hanging pots. Climbing rope is used to hang the pots. The system is hooked up to a timer that turns it on once for ten minutes every 3 hours to cut down on electricity use and keep the annoying pump noise to a minimum.
